"Courses and theories abound...
but the
chaos continues unabated"
|
|
To excel in business requires discipline,
dedication, and passion. Motivation and
talent are not sufficient to cope with the
volume of activities that have to be
prioritised, scheduled, co-ordinated,
delegated, followed up, re-prioritised
rescheduled, and monitored. The list is
almost endless.
Ongoing retrenchments and a subsequent
increase in workload on survivors, and the
pressure to reduce costs and increase output
means that the volume of activities is
phenomenal.
The workload is further compounded with
the additional tasks of motivating people,
setting and accomplishing goals,
budgeting and long term planning,
all to be achieved within the short space of
each working day.
"The chaos need not continue unabated."
